Abstract
Two crucial hypotheses are discussed in the text Jouissance: A Lacanian Concept, by Néstor Braunstein, in which the author distinguishes three forms of jouissance and analyzes what would be the superego commandment to “jouis” since, according to the author, “jouissance(s) are opposed to and exclude each other.” Finally, I relate Braunstein’s version of the various jouissance(s) and their possible correspondence with the paradoxical formulations of the superego with my own version of the triplicity of the superego.
