Abstract
Tennessee has always been a rich source of material for malacologists interested in the fauna of the southeastern United States Troost (1844) prepared the first comprehensive list of Mollusca and several studies have considered the fauna of different areas within the state. Shoup (1939) published a bibliography of Tennessee zoology that includes an extensive section on mollusks.
